Heartsaver CPR class scheduled

A new “HeartSaver” CPR class has been scheduled for Aug. 16, 2014 at Lincoln County Fire Station 1 in Troy from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. This course is free to fire district residents and a nominal fee for non-residents. Registration is required online at http://lincolncountyfire.org/cpr_class_registration.

    For many in the community, Sacred Heart has been a staple in their lives, and continues to be as generations of their family attend the school and church.   • Century Dodge to raise funds for Sacred Heart School

    A local fundraiser that benefits elementary students of Troy will be held next month. On Sunday, Aug. 3 between noon and 4 p.m. during the picnic at Sacred Heart Catholic School, local Chrysler dealership Century Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Wentzville will host a Chrysler “Drive for the Kids” fundraiser.   • Automotive Safety Patch program

    Pack 390 and Pack 376 visited Jim Trenary Chevrolet of Troy to learn about automotive safety and earn their automotive safety patch. The program had five stations that the kids visited. At the beginning of the tour they were weighed, measured and took a “before” test. The first station showed the boy scouts how to properly put on a seat belt.     On Thursday, June 26, 2014, Heather Johnson and Marlan Versey noticed that their son, Jacobi wasn’t feeling well and was having strange symptoms similar to a urinary tract infection (UTI.)   • Christmas comes on July 27 for Youth in Need

    Participants in last year’s Christmas in July Run riding through Winfield.

    The second Annual Christmas in July Run will take place Sunday, July 27. It will start at Tattooed Lady Bar & Grill in Moscow Mills and finish up at VFW Post #9064 in Elsberry.
