For December, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is spicing up D.A.R.E. Dances in anticipation for the Holiday Season. The Sheriff’s Office will host a fifth and sixth Grade dance on December 13 and a seventh and eighth Grade dance on Dec. 20. Each $5.00 paid entry will receive a glow in the dark holiday wristband and a chance to win cash or a flat screen TV in time for Christmas!

Troy Elks Lodge #2805 will be hosting its annual Hoop Shoot Contest for boys and girls ages 8 through 13 on Saturday, December 7 at Claude Brown Elementary. For the second year the Elsberry community will be blessed with a Live Nativity event. Thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Aprile Taylor and the churches of the Elsberry community, all are welcome to this free event.
