Four people were injured in separate crashes Wednesday (Dec. 4) in Lincoln County, the Missouri State Highway reported.
The first accident occurred at 7:50 a.m. on South Lincoln Drive at Business Park Drive.
According to the report, a 2006 Ford Econoline van driven by Scott Bonney, 50, of Troy, was stopped in southbound traffic, attempting to make a left turn onto Business Park Drive. A 1994 Toyota Corolla driven by Lelia Edwards, 50, of Troy, failed to notice the stopped traffic ahead, causing her vehicle to strike the rear of the van.
Edwards was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. Her injuries were listed as moderate. Bonney and a passenger in the van, Jason Hanner, 33, both of Troy, were taken by ambulance to Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. Bonney’s injuries were listed as minor and Hanner’s were listed as moderate. All were using their seat belts at the time of the accident.
Later at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Richard C. Deak 18, of Silex, was seriously injured when his motorcycle struck a 2010 Jeep Wrangler driven by Karen Cobb, 50, of Eolia. Cobb was stopped facing westbound and Deak was ejected off the cycle.
Deak was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. His injuries were listed as serious.
In a report from the Highway Patrol, Barbara Lovelace, 67, of Winfield, was injured in a crash Nov. 30, 2013, on Highway 79 at Route and near Foley. Time of the accident was 12:35 p.m.
According to the report, a 2012 Buick Enclave driven by Lovelace was stopped in the northbound lane of Highway 79 to turn onto Route Y. A 2006 Nissan Maxima driven by Alexander Hart, 26, of Acworth, Geo., was southbound on Hwy. 79. The Buick failed to yield to the Nissan and the vehicles collided. Both drivers were in their seat belts at the time of the accident.
Lovelace was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. Her injuries were listed as moderate.
