Since 2005, the Lincoln County Health Department has operated a Children’s Dental Clinic, serving children ages 6-18, who are residents of Lincoln County Missouri with a Medicaid Health Plan or without dental insurance.
“We know that dental care for adults is in high demand and have been working hard to help provide this service for several years,” stated Jo-Ann Creech, Coordinator of the LCHD Dental Clinic. “I am so happy and proud to see that we have reached this goal and are now able to help our uninsured adult residents of Lincoln County.”
Beginning in November 2013, LCHD will be providing dental services to adults who meet certain income guidelines and are without dental insurance or supplement coverage. They must be a resident of Lincoln County Missouri and will be required to provide proof of residency as well as proof of income. Fees for dental care services will be at an affordable cost, but must be paid in full the day of service. Payment plans will not be accepted.
Dental services to be provided for adults will consist of: oral exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, extractions and education on prevention of dental disease, and healthful nutrition.
The clinic will begin accepting phone calls to schedule appointments for the adult dental clinic starting Tuesday, October 15, 2013. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments will be assigned in order as calls are received and for services needed. There will be a strict broken appointment, no-show or late-show appointment policy, which will make clients ineligible to receive dental services at our facility.
Dental services for children will continue at LCHD. Adult and children’s clinics will be held on different days of the week. The adult clinic times will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The children’s clinic times will be 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
