In just over an hour, all of the cupcakes and cake pops Jammi Chesser had brought in her food truck to sell at the corner of Cherry Street and S. Lincoln Drive in Troy had sold out. As the owner of Flour Dust Delights, a fully inspected and licensed bakery Jammi runs out of a second kitchen in her home, Jammi has received great success after starting the business just a few years ago.

“I’ve always loved to bake, ever since I was a little girl. I remember making a huge mess in the kitchen at my parent’s house in Kansas, and my mom would come in and help me clean up,” Chesser commented. “I don’t have my mom at home to help me clean the kitchen anymore,” she laughed, “but my love of baking has stayed the same.”

Specializing in custom specialty cakes, unique cupcakes (see her cookie dough filled buttercream cupcakes for proof of her creativity in baked goods), cake pops, and sno cones, Chesser started her business after graduating from culinary school in Oklahoma.

Jammi hopes to continue to operate both her food truck and the bakery for years to come, and eventually hopes to expand her operations in Lincoln County.

She will be in the same location next Wednesday, August 1, in the parking lot of C.T. Harrison Business Solutions from 11am-3pm.
