Miss Brandi Peasel, senior at Silex High School, was selected as the 2014 Lincoln County Fair Queen. The coronation was held Saturday at Bonfils Auditorium. There were a total of eight young ladies competing for the title.
The first runner-up was Kellianne Mitchell, of Troy and second runner-up was Samantha Marre, of Elsberry. Cortlyn Unser, of Moscow Mills, was voted by the candidates as Miss Congeniality.
The fair continues Sunday night with the parade beginning at 5 p.m. It begins at Troy Middle School, ending at the Troy Fairgrounds Park (city park). The fair will continue Tuesday through Saturday at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
