Cooling centers open to public

With heat index’s expected to reach 105 degrees this afternoon, the Lincoln County Health Department encourages residents use the following cooling centers if needed. The department also encourages residents to take the necessary safety precautions when outside. Daytime cooling centers include:

  • Winfield Foley Fire Protection District, 2663  Hwy 47, Winfield, MO 63389. Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (636) 566-8406.
  • Lincoln County Council on Aging, 1380 Boone St, Troy, MO 63379 Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (636) 528-7000.
  • Lincoln County Fire Protection District, 700 E Cherry St, Troy, MO 63379 Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (636) 528-8567.
  • Winco Senior Center,225 2nd St, Winfield, MO 63389. Hours of operation Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (636) 668-8448
