The Lincoln County Democrat Club and SpectrumEcycle are joining forces to combat unwanted, obsolete electronics being deposited into landfills. Technology that one may deem obsolete may serve someone else just finer.
The goal of SpectrumEcycle is to extend the life of the collected equipment via secondary markets whenever possible. Whenever reuse is not possible, the equipment is recycled. All items are broken down, sorted by material, and bundled for recycling. Items accepted range from VCRs to microwave ovens (televisions and larger older monitors are excluded).
For a list of acceptable items, please contact Dottie Crenshaw (573) 898-5085 or visit their website at www.spectrumecycle.com.
The local collection is Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the corner of Hwy. 47 and Frenchman Bluff Road, Troy. All collections are TOTALLY FREE!! OPEN TO PUBLIC!
