Funeral services for Elizabeth Isadora Anderson, 89, of Elsberry, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of the Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry.
Born Feb. 6, 1924, in Gallatin, she was the daughter of John David and Leora May Jones Albrecht. She was a 1941 graduate of Gallatin High School. She was united in marriage on May 16, 1941 in Gallatin to William Lee Anderson, Sr. This union was blessed with four children: William “Bill” Jr., Peggy, Cathy and Ronnie. She made her home in the Elsberry community since 1953. She was a member of the Elsberry First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: William “Bill” Anderson, Jr., of Elsberry, and Ronnie Anderson, of Tiffin, Ohio, two daughters: Peggy Rountree and her husband, Craig, of St. Charles, and Cathy Barlow and her husband, Jim, of Elsberry; six grandchildren: Tony Anderson, Beth Mosher, Mathew Ponder, Ryan Anderson, Scott Moore and Trevor Moore; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers: Ernest Albrecht and his wife, Gwen, of Carey, Ohio, and Marion Albrecht and his wife, Bonnie, of Jamesport; two sisters: Jetty Keathley and her husband, Forrest, of Vilonia, Ark., and Martha Tucker, of St. Joseph; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Funeral services for Jane Willis Hunter Howard, 87, of Elsberry, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Elsberry First Baptist Church in Elsberry. Rev. John Bateman, pastor of Ramsey Creek Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery.
Mrs. Howard passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry.
Born June 24, 1925, on the family farm in Clarksville, she was the daughter of Howard Carrol and Frances “Fannie” McDannold Hunter. Jane graduated from Clarksville High School and attended William Jewell College before returning home to teach at the Calumet School. She was united in marriage on June 5, 1948. in Clarksville to William Otto “W.O. Bob” Howard. This union was blessed with two sons: Robert Thomas and William Kevin.
Jane began teaching school in Elsberry part time in the late 1950’s. She graduated from Lindenwood University with a B.S. in Education in 1972. She worked as an elementary school teacher at Clarence Cannon Elementary School in Elsberry, retiring in 1985. She was a 50-year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AI in Elsberry, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Lincoln County Women’s Democratic Club. She was especially fond of the women of her Bridge Club to which she belonged for over 50 years. Mrs. Howard was also a member of the Elsberry First Baptist Church for nearly 65 years.
Survivors include two sons: Tom Howard and his wife, Jean, of Auxvasse, Mo. and Kevin Howard and his wife, Elaine, of Elsberry; five grandchildren: Elizabeth Adrian “Beth” Howard-Snyder and her husband, Jason, Allison Marie Howard-Zupon and her, husband Ryan, Lauren Anna Howard, Erin Jane Howard-Keeven and her husband, Paul, and Andrew Clark Howard and his wife, Katie; and three great-grandchildren: Amelia Jane Snyder, Sydney Grace Zupon and Lucy Eileen Keeven. She also leaves several in-laws, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Darrell Troy Vinyard, 46, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on June 23, 1966, in St. Louis, a son of Donald Gene Vinyard and Sherry Ann Andersen. He was united in marriage to Cheryl James on Dec. 11, 1998 in St. Louis.
Darrell was employed as a Cement Mason with Union Local 527 and was a member of the Local 660 Laborers Union. He enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle and supporting the AmVets cooking, everyone knew that on every Saturday you would find Darrell barbecuing rain or shine. Darrell loved spending time with his family and friends. He impacted every life he touched and will be truly missed.
Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Vinyard, of Troy; children: Nichole M. Vinyard, Ray Rader, Ryan Rader, Tiffany Rader, Amy Vinyard, Katrina Rader, Kelsea Vinyard, Tory Vinyard and Darrell Vinyard Jr.; mother, Sherry Ann Shoemake and husband, Terry; siblings: Deborah Ritter, Brenda Duke, Michael Vinyard, Donald Vinyard, Robert Vinyard, Angelique Lampe, Kimmy Knaust and Terry Shoemake; five grandchildren: Jasper, Carter, Audrey, Rylynn and Connor, many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Stonebridge Freewill Baptist Church.
