An Elsberry woman was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Lincoln County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 10:12 a.m. on Hwy. 61 at Route B.
The Patrol reported a 2000 Mercury Marquis driven by Doris Farmer, 84, of Elsberry, attempted to cross Hwy. 61 from Route B and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Gene Ïox, 28, of Bowling Green.
Farmer was pronounced at the scene by EMS personnel. She was taken to the Lincoln County Medical Center by Lincoln County Coroner Lisa Sitler.
A Troy man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Oct. 19 in Lincoln County, according to a report from the Highway Patrol. The accident occurred on Hwy. 47 just east of Ridge Road. Time of the accident was 6 a.m.
According to the report, a 1996 Brendon Budde, 18, of Troy fell asleep while driving a 1996 Dodge Ram truck. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. He was not using a safety device at the time of the accident.
He was taken by county ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
