The arrests continue to climb in the recent outbreak of car cloutings in Lincoln County
Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 5), the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested Terrie Estes, age 50, of Foley, in connection with last week’s car cloutings. Estes provided safe haven for property stolen by the teenagers and attempted to cover up the property’s authenticity before it was exchanged or given away.
Estes told investigators she knew the property entering her residence was in fact stolen by teenagers committing car cloutings over a period of time.
In addition, the sheriff’s office arrested a 13-year-old male who is currently in custody of Lincoln County juvenile authorities.
The sheriff’s office arrested a total of 11 individuals since the car cloutings began .
Estes is charged with Felony Child Endangerment and Receiving Stolen Property under a $25,000 bond. Additional charges are still pending and other conditions of bond may apply.
Those charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
