A Foley man is charged with felony third-degree assault after he allegedly hit and choked a man who told police he was mentally disabled.
According to a probable cause statement, sheriff’s deputies responded to an assault in progress in the first block of Armistead Acres in the early morning hours of Nov. 24. When they arrived, the victim stated Glen Richard Corter, 52, threatened him and threw him on the floor. He said Corter also hit him on the side of his face and choked him.
A deputy noted scratches with fresh blood and ripped clothing on the victim. Corter told authorities he and the victim had gotten into a verbal argument over the victim’s music being too loud but denied any physical assault.
