Separate accidents result in injuries, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
One crash occurred on July 12 on Sand Hill Road south of Hawthorn Road in Lincoln County. Time was 2:16 p.m.
According to the report, a 2006 Yamaha YZF450 driven by Patrick McNatt, 24, of O’Fallon, attempted to accelerate while traveling southbound on Sand Hill Road when the front of the vehicle lifted and caused the vehicle to roll back, ejecting the driver who was not using a safety device.
He was taken by county ambulance to St. Joseph West Hospital at Lake Saint Louis. His injuries were listed as moderate.
A second crash occurred July 13 at 6:10 p.m. on Highway J south of Sunrise Acres in Lincoln County. According to the report, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Shawn Crawford, 35, of Troy, began to skid to the left. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway and overturn. Crawford was taken by county ambulance to the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. His injuries were listed as minor. He was using a safety device at the time of the crash.
A Troy man suffered moderate injuries when the 2005 Ford Ranger he was driving traveled off the right side of the roadway and, after overcorrecting, the Ranger overturned several times and came to rest on its roof. The accident occurred on West Route U west of Strack Farm Lane July 15 at 11:55 a.m. Lincoln County Firefighters responded to West Highway U near Linns Mill Rd. for a reported “roll-over” motor vehicle accident. On arrival, firefighters from the Lincoln County Fire Protection District No, 1 found the
Ranger on its top in a ditch with the driver trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters quickly gained entry and helped the injured man, James Keffe, 69, of Troy from the vehicle.
Keffe was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
In a crash occurring at 7:15 p.m. July 17 on Highway WW and Meyers Road, Patrick Flueher, 55, of Wright City, suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West.
Fluehr was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger westbound on WW when he was distracted by his cell phone. The Ranger traveled off the right side of the road and struck two mailboxes and two trees. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the accident.
