Moscow Mills and Old Alexandria United Methodist Churches, along with the Lincoln County Association of the Salvation Army, are sponsoring a ‘Back-to-School Bash’ to help support the surrounding community as parents and children prepare themselves for another school year. In recognition of the economic challenges associated with returning to school, these Christian organizations simply want to partner up with parents to help get their kids off to a great start in their fall classes.
In particular, the churches are working together to provide a day of fun, food and practical assistance for all school age children and their parents. For four hours (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) on August 3, free school supplies will be handed out.
To help kids get enthusiastic about the whole prospect of returning to school, this community event will be held in a carnival atmosphere. Kids can participate in carnival games to win prizes; have their face painted; try their hand at the dunking booth, play in the bounce house and enjoy a free hot dog and chips along with some tasty carnival treats (popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones).
This event will take place Saturday, Aug. 3 at Moscow Mills United Methodist Church, 703 Main Street, Moscow Mills, Mo.
