Barbara Walton has been named the Betty Crocker Future Homemaker of Tomorrow. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Walton Jr.

During 1956, the Troy Rural and Volunteer Fire Department responded to 54 calls for service.

Feb. 10, 1967

A public hearing to form a regional planning commission was announced for Troy. The Missouri General Assembly authorized the formation of these commissions. Several cities and communities in the region has submitted petitions in support.

Dunard Bros. Fertilizer Farms received the Bankers Progress award . Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dunard and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dunard accepted the award sponsored by Bank of Troy and Bank of Lincoln County,

A resurgence of public interest in senior citizen rental housing has been made by the Troy Kiwanis Club. A steering committee has been formed.

Diana Parsons, of Troy. was selected as the Outstanding Career Women by the Troy Business and Professional Women’s Club. She is a high school teacher.
Daisy Mordt presented the PTO Life Membership award to Geneva Cottle.
