The Lincoln County ACS committee was elected. James Teague, of Cyrene, was elected chairman. Duncan Shaw, of Corso, vice-chairman and William Reller, of Ethlyn, member.

Sensational fielding by Johnny Zalabak, of Hawk Point, and timely hitting and running by Jimmy Montomery, of Troy, gave the Jaycees an early 6-0 lead over the Lions in n all-star game at Busch Stadium. Michael Purley, of Troy, played the last three innings.

Helen Bonfils, of Denver, Colo., will be honored Sept. 14 while visiting Troy.

Among the new teachers at Buchanan High this fall is James Schulze, power mechanics, electricity ,and Ag I.

Jane Niehoff was crowned the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Queen. Gift bearers during the ceremony were Robbie Cody and Carmen Paulsmeyer.

The state license fee office in Lincoln County has moved from Farmers Elevator to Witte Bros Exhange.

Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney Jess Mueller announced the addition of a parent locator program in his office. JoAnn Tipton will be the staff member assigned to this new office program.

 

Don Feith, Troy FFA member, captured the top award in the ag mechanics competition at the Missouri State Fair. His exhibit included a 22-foot tri-axle gooseneck trailer, two heavy duty blades, on large bale mover and car ramps.

The Lincon County Commission was informed of expansion plans at the Rose Acre Farm near Hawk Point. which included several new confinement barns.

Lincoln County Sheriff Dan Torres announced the department has launched their new resigned website.
Taking a lead in the redisgn was Michael Shocklee, a student at the at the University of Missouri and Troy Buchanan High graduate.
