Robert Cox and Philip Bck, both of Troy, were inducted into the Shriners.
Mrs. Wayne Lindsay was elected president of the Lincoln County Home Economic Council.
Silex-The Silex FFA Chap installed two basketball courts at the school.
Winfield- The citizens of Winfield completed one of their projects under the planned Progress by installing street signs.

Dec. 8, 1967
New Christmas decorations were installed on Main Steet. from East Cherry to Highway 61 in Troy.
The project was sponsored by the Troy Chamber of Commerce and city of Troy. Installation was done by the Missouri Edison Co. under the direction of Leon Creech and the Missouri Telephone Co. under the direction of Jim Girault.
The Lincoln County father-son partnerhip of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Paulsmeyer and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Paulsmeyer are one of the recipents of the Balanced Farming award.
Army Private Michael Sullivan, 21, of Silex, ccompleted a field communications crewman course at Fort Leonard Wood.

Gilmer Dehn and Betty Creech were the Man and Woman of te Year in Troy named by the Chamber of Commerce. at the installation banquet.
Debby Simmons was chosen as the Troy BPW Young Career Woman and will represent the club at the state level.
She is a first-grade teacher in the Lincoln County R-III Schools.

The national agricultural career development team of the Troy FFA competed at the national conventin. Members included Daneal Kelly, Dawn Volmert, Rachel McCarty, and Ernest Shaw. Mark Leitman was their advisor.

Craig Bals scored 25 points leading the Troy Trojans past Riverview Gardens in the opening round of the Peoples Bank Tournament. Klye Peasel followed with 11 points and Josh Hirth had 10 points.
