Th Futue Homemakers of America chapter held its annual spring dance. During the evening, Mary Jane Martinek crowned Joe Witte as the spring dance king.
A group of Lincoln County citizens was approved to appear at a hearing of the State Highway Commission where they will express their opposition to the proposed Route KK in Lincoln County. The group is seeking a change to the proposed plan.

May 4, 1968
Voters in the Lincoln County R-III School District approved the bond issue to fund the proposed addition to Buchanan High. The vote was 986-423.
The following young people will appear on the Captain 11 television program may y: Patty Burton, Joey Barnes, Alan Barnes, Steve Brown, Lee Coldiron, Earnie Coldiron, David Dehn, and Jack Gillespie.

Troy FFA Chapter Ag Mechanics team placed first in district and a I rating in state. Members include Alan Harrell, Wayne Niehoff, and Nick Reisinger.
Bob Ramsour, of Troy, joined the sales staff at Cox and Cohea Chevrolet in Wentzville.

Jared Comer and Megan Fox were chosen as the Lincoln County King and Queen at the annual Fun Fair. Sharon Keim was presented with the Friend of 4-H award.
The Agricultural Sales team of the Troy FFA Chapter placed first in state ompetition. Team members include Erin Crader, Katy Morrison, Amber Thompson, and Kelly Mistler.
Holly Hammett and Holly Twellman were elected to the Silex R-I Board of Education.
Jarriot Rook and Nicole Lindsey, of Buchanan High, were the Lincoln County Basketball Players of the Year.

Eric Hood, Shelter Insurance agent, presented keys to a golf cart to Bob Coffelt, outdoor security officer at Troy Buchanan, for improved safety as he monitors all parking lot areas at the school.
Two signs honoring the 2001 and 2006 state champion teams at Silex, were added to ther city limit sign in that community.
