The City of Elsberry and the Page Branch Park Committee are hosting their first, hoped to be annual, ‘Touch A Truck’ event. The event will be held on Saturday, June 21 at Page Branch Park, 1001 Old Toll Gate Road. Proceeds from the event will go to the support of Page Branch Park which is being developed solely with donations, fundraising, grant revenue and volunteer labor.

The ‘Touch A Truck’ event will give kids of all ages the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat, touch, view up close, pose for photos and learn about how various trucks, equipment and other vehicles work. Scheduled to participate are race cars, fire trucks, helicopters, police cars, farm equipment, construction equipment, the ice cream truck, a Crime Scene Lab and much more.

Additionally, there will be other activities for the kids. A balloon artist will be on hand to amaze the kids, a bounce house will be available as well as face painting. ‘Touch A Truck’ is planned as a family event that all will enjoy.

Anyone that may have a unique vehicle or piece of equipment the Page Branch Park Committee would like to invite them to become an event participant by displaying your truck, equipment or other vehicle. Each vehicle is required to be accompanied by a driver or someone who can tour the kids through the vehicle and tell them how it works and what it is used for. For more information please contact Jo Ann Cordsiemon at (573) 898-5589.

Refreshments will also be available for sale at the event. Prior to the ‘Touch A Truck’ Event and 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held.
