Funeral service for Helen Lashley, 87, Wright City will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Interment will follow in the Wright City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm, Dec. 27, at the funeral home.

She passed away Dec. 19. 2013, at the Lincoln County Nursing and Reb.

Born Sept. 22, 1926 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of late Alfred and Christine Czapliskie .

Survivors include a son, Gary (Betty) Lashley, of Wright City; daughter, Karen (Pat) Schulte, of Wright City, son, Kelvin (Janice) Lashley, of Wright City, daughter, Gloria Bruno, of Wright City; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. Lashley was a member of the Immanuel U.C.C. Church, Eastern Star Chapter 323, UCC Women’s Fellowship and VFW Auxiliary in Wright City. She was also active in the Wright City Senior Citizens Group.

Michael Shallow, 64, of Troy, passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, partner and best friend of more than 46 years Mary Ann; one son Michael Shallow and his wife Heather; his grandchildren Brittany, Lexi, and Christopher; his nieces, Shannon and Meghin Moynihan and his nephews Nicholas Shallow and Richard (Robin) Freeman; his great-nephew Aidan; brothers Daniel (Kathleen) Shallow and Patrick (Ann) Shallow; and sister-in-law Barbara (Kevin) Moynihan.

Michael was a past president of the Showmen’s League of America, St. Louis Chapter and was a true showman. Michael had also attended and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1971.

The family is being served by The Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m.. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Charles.

Barbara Day, 77, of  Winfield, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013.

She was the loving wife of Donnell W. Day;  dear daughter the late Leo H. and Ida M. Stoehner; cherished mother of Carmen (Don) Kelly and Carl (Mary Jane) Day; dearest grandmother of Christopher (Julia), Carl Jr., Gavan,  Madeleine, and Mary Kathleen; Great-Grandmother of Madison, Christopher, Haley;  sister of Dorothy Merlotti, Shirley (Frederick) Leistner, Margie  Elmore, Joyce (Kenneth) Brooks, and the late James L. Stoehner.
