‘Help Your Neighbor’ campaign

Want to be a volunteer and help your community? Or are you in need of help with small home repairs or yard work? Follow the below instructions and join in.

The Help Your Neighbor Spring Campaign will be conducted May 15 through June 21.

Submit Your Work Request:

To submit your work request send:

• brief description of the work to be done and your contact information. The effort would like all work requests to be submitted by March 14 so a list of work descriptions can be listed in The Lincoln County Journal in April. There will be no personal information in the listing, only a description. The job request will be listed by zip code. (There is no guarantee your project will be picked.) The mailing address is “Help Your Neighbor”, P.O. Box 44, Troy, Mo. 63379.


Have your church, church group, youth group, civic group, business or family:

• choose a work project from the list published in the Journal and call and give the organization your contact information. Your group will be responsible for entire project (organizing workers, gathering supplies and completing projects. The “Help Your Neighbor” organizers will send the homeowner’s contact information to your organization so you can coordinate with them. All work will start on or after May 15 and completed by June 21. The phone number to accept a job request is (636)-528-7935.


To qualify, gross household income less than $27,000; must own home and land it sits on and the property must be within Lincoln County. Please do not send in requests for the following: roofing, electrical, plumbing and trailer skirting.
