Henry F. Dove, 96, of rural Bellflower,  formerly of rural Winfield, died at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy on July 19, 2013, at 8:50 p.m. due to cardiovascular complications.

Henry was born Aug. 29, 1916, to Joseph Dove and Barbara (Hoff) Dove in St. Paul.

Henry was an avid outdoor sportsman, carpenter and life-long farmer.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and Knights of Columbus in Old Monroe for nearly 30 years and attended mass regularly.

He is survived by two sisters; Bernadine Dove and Rosemarie Ohmes, both of Wentzville; 10 children, Maryann McNamara, of Kirkwood, Henry Dove, of Bellflower, Paul Dove, of Bolivar, Joseph Dove, of Troy, Nicholas Dove, of St. Charles, Joan Bennett, of Troy, James Dove, of Bellflower, Steven Dove, of Moscow Mills, Joan Bennett, of Troy, Jean Dove, of Troy and Paula Burkemper, of Winfield; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be  held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 4-9 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center in Troy.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. Officiating will be Monsignor Gregory Schmidt.

Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe.

Richard Wayne Shields,  69, known to all as Wayne, of Sullivan, formerly of Troy, Mo., departed this life in Sullivan on July 12, 2013.

Wayne was born in Winfield on March 15, 1944, son of Alvin Richard Shields and Veva Shields (nee Overall).

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Diana Rosales and husband, Troy, of Sullivan; his brother, Gary Shields, of Winfield; by his grandchildren, Amanda Rosales, of Troy, Patrick, Aleck and Austin Rosales, of Sullivan and Logan and Karlyn Cash, of Sullivan; by one great-grandchild, Casen Winderlin; by one nephew, cousins and many friends.

Wayne was a Christian and past member of Asbury Methodist Church in Winfield. During his working career he was employed by Boeing Corporation in St. Louis as a laborer, where he was a proud member of the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers, Local #837 of St. Louis, Mo. Wayne also owned and operated KK One Stop in Troy for about 15 years. He had a variety of interests throughout his life.  He was also a member of American Thresherman’s Association, Inc., being a regular attendee at their annual conventions.

A committal will take place at a later date at the Asbury Cemetery in Winfield. The family of Richard Wayne Shields entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair.


Roy J. White, 68, of Wright City, passed away on July 21, 2013.

He was a truck driver and also served as the Mayor of Wright City. He was proud of serving in the Army and was a member of American Legion Post 444 in Florissant.

Roy is survived by his two daughters and four siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on July 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Full Military Honors
