Since rallying  with a 13-1 edge in scoring against Warrenton, that game seems to have given the Winfield Lady Warriors a new lease on life in this young softball season.  Since that game, they have rolled Orchard Farm 12-2  and Silex 13-0 to improve their season record  to 4-1 .

“Yes, we certainly are on a roll!” said Coach Katie Cosby.    “Ever since that game, I have noticed a huge difference with our team.  They have so much drive and determination to dominate on the field.  Our bats have certainly been on fire lately.  There isn’t a hitter in our lineup that hasn’t contributed in a big way.  Our defense has been great! Our pitchers know they have the defense backing them up.  Both Bre Burkemper and Anna Hoeckelmann have done a great job pitching.  It is so great knowing we have two pitchers that can take care of business on the mound.  The girls are having fun and are doing great!  I am so proud of what they have done so far and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us!”
