More than one hundred people met at Clonts Field in Troy on the morning of June 2 to support Lincoln County Council on Aging in their annual “Live Your Best Life” Fun Run, 5K and color run, in which participants were pelted with colored dyes by volunteers at various checkpoints throughout the course.

Funds raised by the event support LCCOA’s initiative to deliver meals to seniors in the community. As this year is LCCOA’s 40th anniversary, the race was particularly special for participants and staff.

At the end of the race, Lindsey Kelly, staff member at LCCOA, wanted to give a special thanks to Linda Morse, a LCCOA Volunteer for the past 22 years who has made a huge impact on the race. This year, Mrs. Morse raised over $4,000 from walking in the event from community sponsors

The walk as a whole raised more than $10,000 to help fund LCCOA’s various community initiatives.
