Luetkemeyer files for another term

Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer filed for re-election and vowed to continue working for the hard-working people of the Third Blaine FilingCongressional District.

“I have an unwavering commitment to the hard-working taxpayers of the district that has included support for legislation that provides our citizens with an opportunity to succeed based on the principles of economic freedom and financial security,” Luetkemeyer said. “By offering alternatives that will create jobs and lower taxes, we can ultimately move away from the outrageous spending and burdensome government regulations that serve as a deterrent to economic prosperity for all Americans.”

He represents all or part of 13 counties and they are: Camden, Cole, Miller, Maries, Osage, Callaway, Montgomery, Gasconade, Franklin, Warren, St. Charles, Lincoln and Jefferson. Luetkemeyer was first elected to Congress in 2008 and served two terms in the old 9th Congressional District before winning election to the new Third Congressional District seat

A native of St. Elizabeth, Mo., in Miller County, Luetkemeyer is a lifelong resident of the district and has worked as a small businessman having been in the banking and insurance industry. Luetkemeyer also has a strong background in agriculture including operating a 160-acre family farm.

Luetkemeyer has been recognized for his efforts in Congress on behalf of businesses that create jobs and spur economic growth. Additionally, Luetkemeyer received the ‘Friend of Farm Bureau’ honor from the American Farm Bureau federation for his efforts on behalf of hard-working American farm families.

Luetkemeyer and his wife, Jackie, have three children, Trevor, Brandy and Nikki, and four grandchildren.
