Margaret Gardner, of Winfield, Missouri, died on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the age of 95.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Gardner; dear daughter of the late Anton and Claudia Steinhoff; devoted mother of Kenneth (Janet) Gardner, Gary (Orlana) Gardner, and Marlene (Terry) Walton; cherished grandmother of Randy (Angela) Gardner, Brian (Heather) Gardner, Grant Gardner, Jimmy Gardner, Jason (Jennifer) Walton, Curtis Walton, and Alexis (Chris) Gieseker; loving great-grandmother of Nash, Chase, Blake, Brayden, Trevor, Bryce, Liam, Billie, and Jacob.
Margaret was a machine operator at Crown Cork & Seal for many years before she retired. She was a member of the Teamsters Local 688 and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo; nevertheless, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.
Services: The family is being served by The Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, 5-8 p.m.. A Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Baue Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens.

Doris Mae Haarmann, age 66, of Mexico, Mo., died Friday Feb, 8, 2013, at the University Hospital in Columbia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Brendan Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Arnold Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service held at 8 p.m..
Doris was born on Jan. 30, 1947, in Old Monroe, Missouri, the daughter of Francis “Dude” and Ann (Westoff) Rottger.
In 1964 Doris graduated from St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon.
On Sept. 23, 1967, in Old Monroe, she was united in marriage to Allan Joseph Haarmann, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Donald Kevin Haarmann and wife, Kay, of Jefferson City, Neal Edward Haarmann and wife, Amy, of Jacksonville, Ill., and Gary Dean Haarmann and wife, Traci, of Independence; six grandchildren, Grant, Grace, Greta, Haley, Alex, and Josie Haarmann; sister, Ruth Ann Henke and husband, Randy, of Old Monroe; brothers, James Rottger and wife, Mary Lou, of Old Monroe, Dennis Rottger and wife, Nancy ,of Old Monroe; sisters, Denise Darrish of O’Fallon, and Mary Lou Clower, of Foley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, the Ladies of St. Brendan, and the Federated Women’s Club. She enjoyed volunteering at many church and school activities. She was also a 4-H group and club leader.
Her life revolved around her family, providing for their needs with great love and care. She was known for preparing delicious meals, and many happy hours were spent lingering around her kitchen table. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and all their activities.
Doris worked at the Mexico Public Library, Miller Distributing Company, and Arlee Home Fashions. She then retired to help her husband Allan with the family businesses.
