Lincoln and Pike County Marines, active, reserve, retired, honorably discharged, and FMF corpsman, please join the Marine table at the L.C.C.O.A. Senior Citizen Building on Hwy. J and Hwy 47 on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. for Veterans Coffee Talk, or VFW 8828, 440 Hwy J, Troy on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. to share traditions and camaraderie between Marines from multiple generations and the potential of pursing the organization of a Marine Corps League Detachment. You’re invited to be a part of The Few and Proud from Lincoln and Pike Counties, therefore muster to share experiences, support to the fellow Marines and benefit the community.

If you have to drive to be a part of something special, join the Marines on Thursdays or the first Tuesday of the Month. The Marines of Lincoln and Pike Counties have initiated the process of starting a Marine Corps League Detachment, please join the Marines and become a Charter Member of the Lincoln County Detachment, Marine Corps League.

Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service that they may effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy, voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all marines and former Marines and to their widows and orphans; and to perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps and by fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.

For more information about joining or meeting times, please contact Lenny “DOC” Morissette at 636-219-5319 or Scott Gittemeier at 636-887-6057.
