Mary E.”MeMa” Kayser, 91, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home in Troy, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 7,1922 in Pocahontas, Ark. to John and Myrtle Herndon. Mary loved children and worked at Linda’s Daycare until she was in her 80s. Being a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church in Troy was very important to her and she attended as long as her health permitted.
Mary is survived by her beloved family; her son, Clarence Edward Kayser, of Foley; her six daughters: Ruth Ann (Patrick) Knisley, of Wright City, Mary R. (Jack) Shirley, of Henry, Tenn., Linda Kay Coley, of Troy, Bonnie (Wayne) Bruning, of Foley, Myrtle Marie (James) Link, of Troy, Lena Jewel Blackwood of Troy. She is further survived by 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at New Fellowship Baptist Church in Troy.
Funeral service will also be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 4 p.m. at New Fellowship Baptist Church in Troy. Officiating: Pastor Brett White. Interment followed in the Troy City Cemetery, Troy.

Charlotte L. Turnbull, 94, of Troy, passed away Friday morning, July 26, 2013 at her residence.
She was the daughter of late Robert and Anna Mae (Jones) Nichols. She was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Lincoln County.
She is survived by: her daughter, Sandra Williams, of Mesquite, Texas; her son, David Turnbull and wife, Nancy of Kansas City; six grandchildren, Amy Dubinski, Greg Turnbull, LeeAnn Olsson and husband, William, Sara Turnbull, Roger Williams and wife, Kelly, and Jennifer Matascik and husband, Jeff; and eight great-grandchildren, Blake and Ryan Dubinski, Millie and Billy Olssen, Fiona Faye Williams, Paige Charlotte Williams and Isabella and Gabriella Matascik; a sister-in-law, Carole Nichols of Troy; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte grew up and attended school in Troy. In 1963, she went into business with Carroll Watts and opened Carroll and Charlotte’s Flowers and Gifts. She later bought out Carroll and renamed the business, Charlotte’s Flowers and Gifts. She was a member for the Anna Day Club, the Bridge Club and St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2013 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Troy Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Chapel. Inurnment will be held in the Troy City Cemetery at a later date.
