There will be two meetings held for interested residents in the Troy and Moscow Mills area to recruit charter members for an optimist club to serve the youth in the area.
These meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. on June 13 and/or June 29 at the Lincoln County Health Department conference room off Hwy H.
At these sessions you will learn some things about Optimist International which will celebrate 100 years of service in 2020.
Cyndy Schwab, a lieutenant governor for the East Missouri District Optimist International said, “I have been fortunate to be a member of the organization for 29 years and have seen so many good things happen for the youth and the communities that are served. I hope you will come to learn more and bring someone with you.”
Refreshments will be available. The meeting will last about one hour.”
