Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney Leah Askey announced Tuesday that Charles Neubauer, 39, of Foley, , was sentenced in the Circuit Court of Lincoln County by the Honorable Dan Dildine for two counts of Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree and one count of Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Neubauer received a 15- year sentence on each of the Statutory Sodomy First charges, to run concurrently, and seven years on the Second Degree Sodomy charge, also to run concurrently.

The charges arose out of events occurring as far back as 2007 and as recently as 2011. The victim and his family traveled from the State of Indiana to be present for the defendant’s earlier plea of guilty and for sentencing today.

This case was prosecuted by Gundy with the assistance of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, including Det. Patrick Harney, who was the lead investigator.

Askey also announced Tuesday that David Knudsen, 39, of Moscow Mills, has plead guilty and was sentenced for an assault on a Lincoln County woman and her 14-year old daughter in 2010.

The Honorable Dan Dildine sentenced Knudsen to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Assault in the First Degree and 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree.

The charges arose from a Dec. 31, 2010, incident in which Knudsen severely assaulted his then-girlfriend and threatened to kill the victim’s 14-year old daughter while holding her at knife point.

“It has been a good week for sentencing in Lincoln County.  Hopefully a message is being sent to offenders that Lincoln County takes prosecution of these crimes seriously,” Said PA Leah W. Askey.
