New Year’s Eve marked the grand opening of the Drinking Horn III, or DH III for short. Owners Pete Wright and Rick McKuin built the new bar in the former location of the Tattooed Lady Bar and Grill, which burnt down last year.

Stripping the inside to build fresh, the new bar will not serve any food, offering only domestic beers and mixed drinks and nothing on draft. It is a cash-only bar, with an ATM in the building. Customers are free to bring their own food in, and they can be entertained with several arcade games, a pool table, a high-quality jukebox, and four 70-inch TVs dedicated to sports.

Wright has lived in Moscow Mills for around 20 years, and has 48 years of restaurant experience. Wright and McKuin also own two other bars, Drinking Horn I and II, located in Maryland Heights and St. Charles respectively. Both owners say they feel confident in the success of the endeavor.
