John Dell Anyan, 78, of Silex, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 23, 2010. He was born in St. Louis on Nov. 1, 1931 a son of Elmer Snellson and Violet Nadine Anderson Anyan, Sr. On June 30, 1994, at the Church of Christ in Troy, he was joined in marriage with Verna Mae Senn.
John was educated through eighth grade in the St. Louis City School System. On Jan. 23, 1950 he joined the United States Navy and served his country until his discharge on Oct. 23, 1953. During his lifetime, he held several positions of employment which include, American Last Company in St. Louis, Missouri, Jones and Vining in Troy, and ANCO Garage Door Company in Fenton.
