Local law enforcement officers test their driving skills, raise money for Special Olympics

On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2010, two local law enforcement officers, Lt. Brian Ward (platoon commander of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office) and Detective Sgt. Jim Patton (Troy Police Department)  put their driving skills to the test- and raised money for the Special Olympics. 

The first annual Battle of the Badges was held on the Missouri State Fair Speedway's Historic 1/2 Mile Dirt Track in Sedalia. Law enforcement agencies from across Missouri participated in the event- 21 agencies total were represented, among them the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the Troy Police Department.
