Recognizing the future is among the annual events conducted by Sacred Heart School during Catholic Schools Week, but the officials feel the past and present are just as critical in working with the youth. Among the annual events is the selection of the Alumnus of the Year from the school. This year's recipient, Susan Kallash-Bailey, continues to be active in the life of the school and church.
Her selection was announced Jan. 31 during the 10 a.m. Mass by Ben Burkemper, president of the school board.
