PALS Pet of the Week

Posted on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 8:59 am

Antoinette is a black Labrador. Born about 12/18/08, she currently weighs in at 73 lbs. Around Thanksgiving of 2013, her “owner” drove off – never to return. Left with no food or shelter, she was on her own in the country. For 3 weeks she stayed at the house grounds – refusing help from volunteers. Weak from freezing temperatures & lack of food, she finally gave up & came to our shelter. It has been a difficult adjustment for this sweet dog. New place, new dogs, new people (new men seemed to worry her) & noises. But, she has now turned into the happy, loving, lap dog we knew she would be! On walks, she will stay ever so close to you. she seems to love cats & wants to be friends with other shelter dogs. Our $150 adoption fee includes a comprehensive veterinary care package, and lots of love from our volunteers. You can view Antoinette and all our pets online at . We have a large assortment of wonderful dogs and cats from which to choose. Please stop by the shelter and give a great companion a loving home. Check out our website for upcoming fundraisers and adoption events. We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter so your support is greatly needed and appreciated so that we may continue to help the animals.
