Ruby Leigh Pearson, also known by her stage name “Lit’l Miss Country,” of Foley, has been selected to represent the United States at the World Championship of Performing Arts to be held in California this summer. Pearson, age 10, has been performing for just over a year now and has found success on both local and national stages with her vocal talent.

The World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) will be held July 6-15 at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA. The 9-Day event will kick off with a parade and end with a worldwide web cast of the final competition. Prizes are valued at over a half a million dollars and include scholarships, recording contracts, and elusive training camp invitations.

Pearson is seeking sponsorships from local individuals and businesses to help cover event expenses including lodging, ball gowns, and transportation.  If you are interested in working with Ruby to help send her to the WCOPA, please visit her Facebook or GoFundMe pages.
