The Troy Police Department released information on an arrest occurring April 24.
On that day, Ryan Wesley Prouhet was charged with one (1) count of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 grams or less of a Synthetic Cannabinoid and one (1) count of Possession of up to 35 grams of Marijuana. The Honorable Judge Flynn set bond at $50,000 (cash only).
On April 18, Officer Holton stopped a black pickup truck with expired license plates. When Office Holton made contact with the driver, identified as Prouhet, Officer Holton noticed a strong odor commonly associated with marijuana emanating from the vehicle. When questioned about the odor, Prouhet stated he possibly had some “weed.”
During a search of the vehicle, Officer Holton observed a clear plastic bag containing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officer Holton also located other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle that tested positive for the presumptive presence of methamphetamine.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
