The June meeting of the Lincoln County Area Retired School Personnel (LCARSP) was held at the Lincoln County R-I School District in Silex on June 14.

The group made a monetary donation of $500 to the Silex National Honor Society to be used as seed money to begin a weekend food- for-families program during the school year. The program will be called “Owls Pals.”

After a short business meeting, the group was given a tour of the Silex facility. Lunch was enjoyed at J.R. Diamond’s Restaurant.

The next meeting for the Lincoln County Area Retires School Personnel will be Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Lincoln County Health Department in Troy.
