Rotary club gearing up for electronics recycling

The Rotary Club of Troy and the City of Troy will hold an electronics recycling event on May 6 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m at the parking lot of
Cannon Companies at Hwy 47 and South Lincoln in Troy.
The recycled products will go to the American Military Veterans Assistance Corporation. AMVAC is a not for profit recycler dedicated to helping and employing our military veterans.
Proceeds from the recycling event will go toward local charitable causes and student sponsorships via the Troy Rotary Club.
Items accepted for recycling include: turn tables, microwaves, radio speakers, flat screen TVs, receivers, cell phones, toaster ovens, fax machines, vacuum cleaners,computers, laptops, oscilloscopes, computer monitors, computer speakers, keyboards, optical drives, laptops, printers, copiers, PC boards, projectors, VHS machines, cassette players, DVD players, housing light fixtures, stereo components, receivers, VCRs, Christmas tree Wire, telephones, cables/cords, AC adapters, computer mice, hard drives, tape drives, zip drives, projectors, lead acid batteries and laptop batteries.
Items not accepted are CRT monitors, CRT-TVs, bulbs, paint chemicals, tires, and vehicle parts.
