Bonnie Sue Kirchner was selected as the Troy FFA Barnwrming queen.

Army Private Harold C. Witte, of Troy, recently arrived at Fort Greely, Alaska, and is now a member of the Headquarters Company U. S. Army Arctic Test Board,

A.K. Schaper, president of the Peoples Bnak of Hawk Point, died suddenly, Oct. 1, while a patient at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital.

The tow of Hawk Point and community is very proud of its young men who have served, or are now serving in the military \but there are three young men who have walked the path of lives together from childhood to the battles in Vietnam. They are Bernard Hoffmann, Wilferd Doll, and William K. Dunard.

A photo identification service has been added at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital. The first baby to be photographed was Christopher Dowell, son of Mrs. Floyd Dowell Jr. of Troy.

Jane Brockmeyer is the 1977 Barnwrming queen for the Troy FFA Chapter. She is from Hawk Point.

Troy Motors moved into their new location on the sevice road off Highway 61

The Winfield Warriors won the MAC cross country championoship. Team members include David Gifford, Frank Lindsey,, Ron Tiller, Jimmy Martin, Doug Gifford, Brian Franke, David Masters, and Dan Hogan. Warren Lantz is the coach.

Charla Whalen- Mueller, director of the Troy Area Chanber of Commerce and Jim Beck, were shown going through the paperwork for the Leasdership Troy program.

Glen Braden was the recipient of the Friend of the Fair award. The award was prsented by Jay Shafer.

There are just over 5,900 student enrolled in the Lincoln County R-III School Dsitrict this year, an increase of 234 students.
