Scouts raise funds for tornado victims

Posted on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 8:45 am

Troop 390 and Pack 390 donated their time to help the Tornado victims of Oklahoma by collecting money at Kroger to send to the victims who lost everything due to all the tornadoes last week. They felt like they wanted to help out somehow since they could not go down there to help so they rallied the community to give donations for the cause. The scouts raised over $900 to help.

The Scouts and their leaders are so grateful that they had such a warm response from the community. They hope that someday if their community needed help someone somewhere would help.

Among the Scouts coming out during the two days included: Joey Raczynski, Josh Hargis, Ethan Lawson, Pedro Monita, Jack Sciarratta, Matthew Poindexter, Lucas Poindexter, Ethan Ridge, Ryan Ridge, Brendan Finnerty, Jesse Kopp, Gabriel Stucky and big thanks to Sarah Poindexter who put all this together!!!

The Boy Scout/Cub Scouts Pack 390 did a fundraiser drive for the Moore, Okla. tornado victims. They spent two nights collecting money at Kroger in Troy, which was sent directly to the American Red Cross Tornado Relief. They raised $911 total.
