The Lincoln County Sheriff Office recommends online system to help citizens keep track of valuables.
Reportit.leadsonline.com helps Lincoln County citizens safely and securely store important information. This is useful in recovering property in the event of loss or theft.
The sheriff’s office encourages all residents to use a free online system that will help keep track of valuable and invaluable personal property. “Reportit” is a free secure online system allowing citizens to record serial numbers and upload images for phones, electronics and other valuables. Should your items ever to be stolen, Sheriff John Cottle says, “Having the information will go a long way in accurately and quickly identifying the victim’s property.” Citizens can access the site at www.reportit.leadsonline.com.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has used LeadsONline since January 2013 and has reported many successes using the online investigations system. Using LeadsOnLine police have recovered thousands of dollars in stolen property for the county and surrounding residents. Within 30 minutes of activating the LeadsOnLine system, the sheriff’s office detectives recovered multiple stolen firearms and a list of stolen property too long to list dating back to 2002.
“With your help and dedication as citizens, we as a sheriff’s office will continue to strive forward with the apprehension of criminals within our county,” said Sheriff Cottle.
