The Owls welcome freshmen Lexi Plackmeier and Makayla Schneider as its newest members of the team.
Silex’s first game will be on Aug. 22 against Sturgeon. The game will be held at Sturgeon.
“I am excited for the season,” said Head Coach Rebecca Lipsey. “The girls have been working hard and showing improvement everyday.”
Lipsey says that the team’s strengths include pitching and defense while weaknesses are overall speed on the base path and the number of players this year.
The Owls finished up last year’s season 6-14. They are coached by Lipsey and Assistant Coach Jennifer Capstick.
