It’s that time again! Lori Kirby and her helpers will be busy the week of November 1 baking 1500 hot rolls for St. Stephen UMC’s annual turkey dinner. The original recipe for the famous rolls comes from the late Mrs. Abner Creech, who passed the recipe down to her daughter-in-law, and then other ladies in the Methodist Church. The late Mrs. Mildred Hupp taught Lori who is now teaching other women in the church the recipe and the technique.
The traditional turkey dinner will be served with dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, country style green beans, slaw, cranberry salad, homemade rolls, dessert and drinks. Carryouts are available. Drinks are not included with the carryouts.
Mark your calendar for Friday, November 1. Dinner will be served from 4-7 p.m. and the members of St. Stephen UMC look forward to seeing you.
