Emergency service providers in Lincoln County strives to be ‘proactive’ when it comes to preparing for disasters. Recently, they came together at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy where they went through a power point presentation on proper procedures their respective agencies would implement. This year’s scenario was a tornado which struck the medical center as well as an overturned tanker on Hwy. 61. Main concern during any disaster is communications capability. Above, Mike Cherry, Fire Chief, Lincoln County Fire Protection District, makes a point. Also pictured are Barry Nuss, district fire marshal (right) and Susan Smith, physical therapy director of the medical center.
