The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Board recently awarded a grant from Operation Round Up for $2,500 to Strong Tower Ranch.
The funds will be used to help give full and partial sponsorships to at-risk and underprivileged children.
The goal is to help support full and partial sponsorships for the approximately 600 children who will attend horsemanship programs and day camps this year.
Strong Tower Ranch features day camps and horsemanship programs with the goal of providing quality, Christ-centered programs that are entertaining character building, and rehabilitating.
The priority is to help children who are at-risk, less fortunate, or dealing with tragic circumstances, equip them with skills to navigate through life’s challenges and become a positive influence to the world around them.
Strong Tower Ranch recently finished its 19th year of summer camps and is entering into its 20th year of programming.
Additional information is available by contacting Strong Tower Ranch at 636-333-0212 or visiting www.strongtowerranch.org.
Donations are welcome and can be sent to Strong Tower Ranch, 600 Sunshine Lane, Wright City, MO 63390.
Grant funds come from Cuivre River Electric Cooperative members who donate to the Community Trust through Operation Round Up.
Members voluntarily pay the round up amount on their monthly electric bill. The funds are administered by volunteer trustees who represent areas within St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren and Pike counties where Cuivre River offers electric service.
Operation Round Up addresses unmet needs in the areas of community and emergency services, home weatherization, health, youth and education.
Grant applications are available at Cuivre River Electric Cooperative offices in Troy and Lake Saint Louis, at www.cuivre.com or by calling 636-695-4837.
