No longer can one say “there is nothing to do in Elsberry” and one will not have to travel down the road to listen to good music!
The Elsberry Community Growth Association has teamed up with Heartland Restoration, the primary sponsor, to organize a summer concert series. The concerts will be once a month in June, July, and August at the corner of Auburn and South Fourth.
This area is being transformed from vacant city lots to what will be known as Providence Park.
According to the concert series chairman, Adam Heitman, an event like this isn’t just for Elsberry residents. These musical concerts will give people in surrounding areas the opportunity to come to Elsberry and see it is more than just a dot on the map.
“Elsberry is a great place to live, work, and play, and we want to show that off,” said Heitman.
Mark your calendars for the following dates and musicians who will be on site:
Saturday, June 23, Dakota Pagan Band. Dakota is a very talented singer and has performed for years in Branson and St. Louis singing all genres of music.
July 21, Abbey Road Warriors. This band is a Beatles cover band that travels all over bringing those hits back to life.
August 18, Jake Shafer will perform. He is a local musician out chasing his dream currently living in Nashville and performing there.
The best part about enjoying the live music outdoors is that it is free.
ECGA member, The Pickle Barrel will be on-site with food and beverages for purchase.
Heitman is still looking for additional sponsors and volunteers for the event. He is available at the Shelter Insurance office or call 573-898-5603.
