This year’s Spring Play is a comedic farce by Ken Ludwig called Moon Over Buffalo.
TBHS’ finest actors and actresses will dazzle you in showings on April 11, 12, 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Bonfils Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the evenings of the performances.
George and Charlotte Hay are two bickering, downward spiraling hams first seen in rehearsal for Cyrano de Bergerac, a play from the 1600s. Add in Rosalind, their daughter, Howard, her weatherman fiancé, Paul, her former fiancé, Eileen who has unsettling news, Richard, who pines for Charlotte, and Ethel, George’s deaf mother-in-law and the elements for a hilarious farce are in place.
Fate has given the Hay’s one more shot at Hollywood. Director Frank Capra himself is en route to Buffalo to catch their matinee performance, but will it be Cyrano…or Private Lives (based in the 1920s)?
Will Charlotte perform or run off with Richard? Will George be sober? Why is Eileen crying? Will Capra see Cyrano, Private Lives or a disturbing mixture of the two?
