Two Troy residents were injured Monday morning (Nov. 5) in a one-vehicle crash in St. Charles County. The accident occurred at 11:25 a.m. on Route N at Duello Road.
According to the report, a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Ignacio Gonzalez, 58, of Troy, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, traveled off the roadway and overturned.
Gonzalez did not suffer injuries. However, two passengers, Guadalupe Gonzalez, 34, and Gabriel Gonzalez, 5, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. The driver and the youth were strapped in with seat belts while Guadalupe Gonzalez was not.
A pedestrian performing maintenance on a county road was struck Tuesday evening, according to the Patrol. The incident occurred at 6:25 p.m. on Sand Hill Road south of McIntosh Road near Foley.
A 2001 Durango and a 2004 Dodge Intrepid were parked on the side of Sand Hill Road. Kenneth E. Roberts, 63, of Foley was performing maintenance on the Intrepid when the front of a 2006 Scion TC driven by Laura Keel, 50, of Foley, struck the Durango and continued on, striking the Intrepid.
Roberts was transported by county ambulance to St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake Saint Louis. His injuries were listed as moderate. Keel was using her seat belt.
