Troy “Pete” Brittain, 67, of Hawk Point, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Lincoln County Medical Center.

He was born on April 17, 1945, in Manila, Ark. a son of Don and Naoma (Jackson) Brittain. He was married on Dec. 30, 1965, to Judy Schneider in St. Louis. To this union two daughters were born.

Troy retired after 45 years from Watlow Electric in Creve Coeur and was a life time farmer. He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, bailing hay and buying and selling cars and trucks. He was known for selling cars with the same tank of gas. Troy was very particular about the way a yard was weed eated, even if it was not his yard.  He was a jokester and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years,  Judy Brittain of Hawk Point; two daughters, Sue Link and husband, Tim of Hawk Point, and Cheri Hamilton and husband, Mike of Silex; siblings, Jurl, Barbara, Patricia, Shirley, Glenda, Larry “Bullet” and Bill; five grandchildren: Cheyenne and Casey Link, Breanne, Brittney and Jonathan Hamilton;

Friends will be received from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Hawk Point Chapel. Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the chapel.
