An argument that escalated has led to a criminal charge being filed against a Troy man.
Nicholas Gay, 35, of the first block of Marvin Drive, was charged Feb. 3 with third-degree felony domestic assault. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday.
Police were dispatched to Gay’s residence at 12:05 a.m. Feb. 3. The female victim reported that Gay arrived home from a bar and they began arguing. The suspect allegedly punched her multiple times in the leg and kept her from leaving the bedroom. A juvenile called 911, police reported.
An officer observed a softball-size bruise on one of the victim’s legs, according to the probable cause statement.
